Wakefield 2012 will be held in the Cedar Court Hotel, at Calder Grove near Wakefield and next to junction 39 of the M1. The full address is

This year, the event will be taking place in the Cypress, Hawthorn and Oak Suites within the hotel.

Car Parking

There is plenty of free on-site parking available in front of the venue, with an overflow car park to the rear.

Disabled Facilities

The venue has disabled facilities, and access to the show is available via a lift.

Catering

Light snacks and refreshments are available in the foyer area of the hotel, and there is also a restaurant. Demand for snacks could result in delays at peak times, so please allow plenty of time.

This excellent establishment is located four hundred yards from the hotel on the A636, in the Denby Dale direction (away from the motorway junction). It is only a few minutes walk from the venue, and is open from 11.30am until late. There is very limited off-street parking at the rear, and some on-street parking at the front – it's better to walk, if you can.

This stone-built canalside pub with beer garden is located half a mile from the hotel, off the A636 in the Denby Dale direction (away from the motorway junction), and serves traditional pub food from 12 noon until late. From the hotel, turn left onto the A636 and after quarter of a mile take the first right into Broad Cut Road. The pub is on the left after quarter of a mile, just over the hump-back bridge. It has free off-street parking.

This traditional British pub is located three quarters of a mile from the hotel on the A636, in the Denby Dale direction (away from the motorway junction), and serves excellent meals from 12 noon. It has free off-street parking.

This spacious and very pleasant reproduction dining pub is located half a mile from the hotel off the A636, in the Wakefield direction (the other side of the motorway junction). After crossing the motorway junction, turn left at the first roundabout, and then right into the pub and hotel carparks. This is a small café within the watersports centre in the country park, with a view of the lake. It is located one mile from the hotel on the A636, in the Wakefield direction (the other side of the motorway junction). After crossing the motorway junction, turn right at the second roundabout (3rd exit). It has off-street parking chanregd at 30p per hour.

This is located two miles from the hotel, and has a small and very reasonably priced café in the foyer area; you can also buy snacks, sandwiches etc. to take away. Take the A636 towards Wakefield, and after crossing the motorway junction, turn right at the second roundabout (4th exit) onto Asdale Road, signposted A6186 to Sandal. Asda is located at the far end of Asdale Road, on the left, by a double mini-roundabout. It is open all day, and has free off-street parking.

Superb farm shop, bakery and café within a mile of the show venue. Apart from food to eat in, they do all sorts of sandwiches etc. in the bakery. Take the A636 in the Denby Dale direction, and having passed the British Oak pub on your left, take the next fork left and the farm is immediately on your left. It is open all day until 6pm and has free off-street parking.
